The Fertility Tree at UP Los Banos is an Akasya or Rain Tree. The scientific name is Albizia saman/ Samanea saman. This tree gets its name from times gone when there were no lights in the area thus being a dark place for couples to meet at night.

Mt Makiling Botanical Gardens
One of many flowers in the Mt Makiling Botanical Gardens. The Botanical Gardens are open every day from 08:00 and close at 16:30 (except New Year's Day, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, All Saints Day and Christmas Day). The entrance fee is minimal at 20 pesos per adult.
